No matter which trim of this all-electric crossover you choose, versatility and cargo space are its claim to fame. The Model Y comes in two different trim levels: Performance and Long Range AWD. The Tesla Model X Long Range offers impressive performance output, but not nearly the acceleration and horsepower of its sibling. The Tesla Model X Plaid is very much a performance-oriented car, built with a particular focus on acceleration and overall horsepower. Both feature the Model X’s much-acclaimed falcon-wing doors. The Tesla Model X is available in two different trim levels: Long Range and Plaid. In the meantime, check out our Tesla Model 3 video review here or head over to our Tesla leasing deals page for more great offers. The 2021 Tesla Model X and the 2021 Tesla Model Y are available in varying trim levels that offer different range lengths and performance specs. We’re sure the driving experience will be very similar too – which is to say “very good” – but we’ll let you know once we’ve tested it. The Model Y really does just take a Model 3 and make it a lot more practical, making it a much better family car for a quite reasonable outlay. Track Mode changes the handling characteristics for a sportier drive, improves the post-drive cooling, and gives the driver an on-board lap timer through the central touchscreen. Unlike the Model 3, though, the Model Y doesn’t get a Track Mode with the Performance upgrade. Upgrade to a Model Y Performance and the wheels go to 21-inches (up an inch on the Model 3 Performance to fill those big wheel arches), the suspension is lowered, the brakes are beefed up and the top speed is raised from 135mph to 155mph. Unsurprisingly the Model 3 and Model Y are almost identically equipped, with every car getting Tesla’s focal piece 15-inch media screen, twin wireless phone chargers, two-zone climate control, heated & power adjustable front seats and a panoramic glass roof. About half a second slower in both cases. It’s still utterly rapid though, with the Long Range model taking 4.8 seconds to hit the benchmark, and the Performance model just 3.5. So, roughly 40-50 miles difference.Īcceleration is similarly affected, with the Model Y not quite able to post as impressive 0-62mph times as the smaller car. The Long Range Model Y offers a 315-mile claimed WLTP range (compared to 360 in the equivalent Model 3), while the Model Y Performance claims 298 miles, compared to 340 in the 3. In the meantime, both versions of the Y offer impressive battery range – albeit a little lower than in an equivalent 3 because the Y is bigger, heavier and less aerodynamic. How Do Performance & Range Compare?Īgain, no Standard Range version of the Y yet but it’ll probably happen at some stage. Ultimately, the fatter body of the Y makes for a very spacious car for 5. The wheelbase of both cars is the same, so you’re not getting any more rear legroom in the Y but that’s no big deal because the 3 has a relatively long space between the axles anyways. There’s a 7-seat version of the Y available in the US, but it’s not available here in the UK yet. The front luggage space is bigger than the 3’s too, at 117 litres, and so when you drop the seats and add up all the space you’re getting a whopping 2100 litres. In pure volume terms you’re looking at a boot twice the size: 854 litres compared to 425. That 5 grand or so is really paying for the added practicality that the Model Y brings, because not only is it taller, which means improved headroom, it also has a much bigger boot that’s accessed via a larger hatchback.

The recteq RT-B380 Bullseye held 225℉ without a hitch for the entire 5 hours while cooking these spare ribs. Pellets will burn much faster at higher temperatures, but I promise 15lbs will provide enough heat to cook all the burgers you can handle. That length of time is plenty long enough for most low and slow cooks and, even if you have to refill you’re only doing it once. They claim it’ll last a bit longer on the recteq website and it probably will under the right conditions. The grill packed in as much flavor as it could and I had to fight my wife for the leftovers the next day.įull, the 15lb hopper lasted around 13 hours for me at 225℉ with an ambient temp around 55℉. This spatchcock chicken was cooked at 375℉ and turned out absolutely beautiful. In fact, when placed in RIOT mode, the unit I was sent hit an impressive maximum temperature of 763℉, plenty of heat to sear that wagyu ribeye your significant other is still mad at you for buying. The grill heats up quickly and is easy to control, especially since the Bullseye features the PID technology recteq is known for. When recteq says you can grill, bake, sear, or smoke, they aren’t pulling your chain. With a 225℉ – 749℉ temperature range, the possibilities are nearly endless. Cooking with the RT-B380 Bullseyeįirst, I just want to point out that the temperature range on this grill is incredible for a pellet grill. If you’re needing a grill on the go and you have a power source, the RT-B380 Bullseye will fill that role nearly as easily as the common kettle grill. The grill can be lifted into a truck bed by one person with relative ease, and the big wheels roll over grass, gravel, and concrete without complaint. Only clocking in at a measly 70lbs makes the recteq RT-B380 Bullseye a breeze to move around. Where this grill makes up for loosey goosey though is in straight up portability. The loose feeling persisted, much to my dismay. After a few times of moving the recteq RT-B380 around I went back around and retightened all the hardware to make sure it wasn’t my assembly job that was the wiggly culprit. Grab that handle and start pulling, and it feels like the grill is going to wiggle itself apart. When stationary, the RT-B380 Bullseye is plenty stable. That’s not to say they don’t do their job, they just don’t do it particularly well. This is the only real qualm I have with the Bullseye, but this is what makes this grill as light-weight as it is. I know, I know, you’re all thinking those leggies are looking like they skipped one too many leg days at the gym, and you’re not wrong. It doesn’t take a super stout handle to pull around a 70lb grillin’ machine! If you look inside the hopper you’ll notice the care recteq puts into making sure every part of their grills are sealed as tightly as possible! Addressing Portability The handle screwed to the hopper feels a tad bit flimsy when pulling the grill around, but it’s nothing I’d consider a deal breaker. The construction of the unit feels solid and features a giant embossed recteq bull logo on the stainless steel lid. Lookin’ a little to the left, you’ll find the 15lb hopper. The HotFlash Ceramic igniter is rated for over 100,000 lighting cycles, according to recteq documentation. Obviously, the cooking grate and deflector system come right out, revealing the real muscle behind this grill the fire pot and ignition system. It’s a bit heavier than it looks due to its carbon steel construction and it does a great job keeping the temperatures in the cook chamber even. The grate is about the quality you’d expect from a grill similar to the Weber Kettle, but that deflector is solid. Lift that dome lid and you’re quite likely to find a nice 22″ grill grate above a heat deflector. The finish work on my unit is great, but there was one spot where the lid had some light rub marks. The first thing anyone will notice when they look at this grill is the massive stainless steel dome lid and matching grill body underneath. I built it by myself with basic hand tools. The whole process from unboxing to finished assembly took me a measly 20 minutes maximum. The RT-B380 is on the short list for the easiest pellet grill I’ve ever put together. The direct cause of the accident was determined to be incapacitation of the flight crew due to hypoxia. The final descent into terrain was the result of both engines flaming out due to fuel starvation after the airplane had been under automatic control in a high-altitude holding pattern in the vicinity of Athens International Airport. The flight, Helios HCY522, was a planned flight from Larnaca, Cyprus to Prague, Czech Republic via Athens, Greece. The 115 passengers and six crew members on board were fatally injured and the aircraft was destroyed. To make a batch of these adorable candy cane cookies, you will need the following ingredients: And they are perfect for any holiday occasion, whether you’re spending a night in baking for the family or you’re looking for a cute Christmas cookie to complete a holiday cookie box. These candy cane cookies are delicious, easy, and festive. □ Gather the kids or grandkids, pour some homemade hot chocolate and crank up those Christmas carols to set the tone for this fun holiday baking project! For this recipe, I used Americolor Super Red.We love getting into the holiday spirit, especially when little helpers are around. I use and recommend Americolor gel coloring. It is more concentrated than typical water-based colorings, so you don’t have to use as much coloring to get strong, vibrant shades. Red Food Coloring: For the best results, you will want to use gel food coloring. It can stand up to high heat, so the flavor doesn’t evaporate during baking and it produces consistent results, every time. If you’re purchasing online, I prefer this Peppermint Bakery Emulsion from LorAnn over a traditional alcohol-based extract. It’s easy to find in grocery stores, usually in the baking or spices section.
